Graduation Promo at The Manor Hotel
There's a Graduation Promo at Camp John Hay, The Manor Hotel
click
For the Superior Room, the cheapest room, instead of paying 5500 (120$) pesos you'll just have to pay 1550(35$)/head! So if you're a couple, you'll only pay 3100(65$)/day!
Wow!
Compared to the log & boutique hotels in the Rockies, that's dirt cheap!
And it's already summer season!
In the US, you may not even get the cheapest room in Motel 6 for that price!
The Manor is also throwing in a sumptuous breakfast buffet for each guest!
Now, that's a great deal!
Last year in August, 'twas cheaper, around 2500(55$) for 2 persons, but that was not during peak season, so it's understandable, and they didn't have a free breakfast buffet then.
There's also the 'Summer Best Treat' promo, which is only 3390($75) for 3 persons/day, but there's no free breakfast.
Promos end on 31 May.
It maybe the right time for you to check it out and see Baguio, the summer capital of the Philippines.
Go go go!

Travel Advisory #001
There's a red flag to travel to Thailand for tourism purposes because of the riots there!
More than a score of people had already died and the Thai public, once again, are calling for the royal intervention from the King.
I hope they resolve their issues ASAP so we can travel there safely and enjoy their beautiful country.
+++
If you wanna travel there, be cautious and take a lot of care.
Better yet, postpone it.
Be safe dear ones!

iPad. to wait or not to wait.
http://www.apple.com/ipad
As everyone knows, today is the day the apple makes available... the iPad... on my birthday! :)
Excruciatingly tempting this new techie eye candy!
Historically, a tech junkie myself, and I'm drooling at the moment.
I got my first Motorola touch-screen phone in 2000 and the Jornada touch-screen HP hand-held PC in 2001.
Later, on the same year, I used my very first digital camera when most peeps were on film! ...using 128mb compact flash cards to store my pics. 128mb of memory seemed huge at that time. I still have it but I don't use it anymore coz I already got terabytes of juice now.
I also remember hunting for new gadgets in the basement of Lucky Plaza in Singapore, way back in 2007, I saw and bought my first iPhone there. It cost me almost 43 thousand pesos!
Coming back here in the Philippines was fun coz nobody owns it. It was a conversational piece on its own at that time. You won't see any iPhone troubleshooters in Greenhills before. Now, its everywhere! Now, it's just a normal device. Even the balut vendors own it. Well, maybe not the balut vendors... yet! :)
...and now here comes the iPad!
why not? It would be a nice gift, I wouldn't mind receiving it for my birthday :)
But I know it won't happen! ha ha ha! The only thing for me to get it is to buy it!
There's one problem. It's pretty, but I'm not satisfied w/ what I'm reading in the reviews!
No 3G w/o AT&T.
No webcam.
No Flash support.
No HD video output.
Limited multitasking abilities.
Can't charge iPad over USB port.
Bad to read in direct sunlight.
Have to buy a lot of devices for comfort.
With the troubled economy, I need to weigh things. I need to be cautious of my spending. I should get the best of my money's worth. Do I need it? Do I need it just to have the hottest gadget on the market? Shall I wait for a much better, more complete, more satisfying second generation iPad?
At the moment, I have no other choice but to wait, as it's not yet available here in the Philippines and I don't want the hassles of ordering online again.
Anyway, I hope there's some kind of improvement in a few weeks, even a firmware or an app, so I can buy it in the States when I go there in late of May.
A better iPad. Soon! I hope so! :)

Now, I'm very very confused!!!
